Naspa Förderpreis Keramik 2013. Begründung der Jury:

Zartfarben und zurückhaltend, kindlich scheu und fast ängstlich präsentieren sich diese Aliens, diese Boten von der Welt dahinter, dem Betracher: Ist dieses Distanzhalten Absicht und Vorsicht, um die menschlichen Wesen als Gegenüber nicht zu erschrecken? Die barocken Figuren der kindhaft kleinen Figurinen von Anna Dorothea Klug sind im Raum einer Wandfläche zugeordnet, einer imaginären Wandzeichnung. Ohne richtige Arme, teils mit flügeln aus Papier, in farbig aufgemalter Kleidung zeigen sie sich unperfekt- fast wie einem freundlichen Science-Fiction-Märchen entsprungen. Auf dieser Seite der Wand scheinen sie die zweidimensionale Ebene durchschritten zu haben und tragen die Rudimente fantasievoller, schlüssig aufgebrachter Farbzeichnungen auf den Körperflächen. Humorvolle insektenhafte Individualisten, weitgehend handlungsunfähig, betreten die Welt und suchen Orientierung. Die Leichtigkeit der Umsetzung des Themas hat die Jury ebenso überzeugt wie die bewusst unfertige Sockelkonstruktion oder die Addition der zart gezeichneten Papierflügel.

Naspa Talent Award 2013. Judges´ comments:

Delicately colored and restrained, childishly sly and almost afraid- these aliens, these messengers from the world behind, present themselves for the viewer. Is this keeping of distance intended, and is it a precaution so as not to frighten the human beings? The baroque figures of the childlike, small beings by Anna Dorothea Klug are allocated a wall area in the room, an imaginary wall drawing. Without proper arms, in part with paper wings, in color-painted clothes, they appear imperfect- as if they had sprung from a friendly science-fiction tale. On this side of the wall, they appear as if they have stridden through this two-dimensional plane and bear the rudimental, fanciful, coherently mustered colors on the body surfaces. Humorous, insect-like individualists, largely unable to act, enter the world and look for orientation. The lightness of the execution of the topic convinced the jury, as did the consciously unfinished pedestal design and the addition of the delicately drawn paper wings.
